What is Zoomsoft?
Zoomsoft lets you organize and display collections of high resolution images online.
Why isn't the image viewer working?
The image viewer lets you move and resize images in ways that can't be done with ordinary web pages. It relies on features that vary among web browsers. The Zoomsoft image viewer works best in Internet Explorer for Windows or Safari for Macintosh. It also works in Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera on most platforms. It has bugs in Internet Explorer for Macintosh.
How do I examine an image in detail?
Click and drag the image itself to move it around the screen. You can use the controls at the top of the image viewer window to zoom in. You can also click on an area of the image to zoom in, or shift-click to zoom out.
How do I present a slideshow with Zoomsoft?
When you open a single image, you can use the controls at the top of the screen to move directly to the next or previous image in the collection. Click "Slideshow: Next" to display the next image, or click "Slideshow: Previous" to go back.
How do I examine more than one image at the same time?
Once you choose a collection from the main Zoomsoft page, scroll down to the bottom of the list of thumbnails and click to compare two, three, or four images from that collection. You can move and zoom each image independently, but you cannot use the slideshow feature.
How do I quiz myself on image titles and artists?
On the main Zoomsoft page, click the link at the bottom that says "Quiz yourself". Then choose which collections you want to quiz yourself on. All of the images in these collections will be put in a shuffled order and displayed one by one. Once you think you know what an image is, click "Quiz: Show title" to see if you were correct. Click "Quiz: Next" to move on to the next image.
